Kindly need help on EOL/EOS dates and availability for Azure Document Intelligence containers. Customer is asking for the microsoft technical experts for 2.1V container migration to 3.0V.
Please find the below customer response   Even if 2.1 containers are not planned to be updated, could you please confirm that we can still expect to receive technical support from Microsoft for 2.1 containers while we transition to 3.0? i.e. When we raise support tickets that we will receive assistance from your engineers to investigate and overcome any unforeseen issues in production?   I would assume that Microsoft will still support customer still using 2.1 who need time to upgrade and noting that we are still paying for the service even if using 2.1 containers.   We regularly monitor the “What's new in Azure AI Document Intelligence” https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/document-intelligence/whats-new?view=doc-intel-4.0.0&tabs=csharp However, there is no notice on that page about 2.1 containers not being updated anymore.  Please share that if we have missed it.   Also, looking at the “Modern Lifecycle Policy” page you shared, and following the link https://azure.microsoft.com/updates/ to the Azure updates, I can’t find any mention of 2.1 containers that would indicate any change in support or roadmap changes.  I can’t find any roadmap information on containers.  Searching for Azure document intelligence roadmap also returns no results.   Could you please point me to the specific pages that refer to 2.1 containers and Document Intelligence roadmap.

I couldn't find any specific EOL or EOS dates for these container versions you are looking for but I believe that Azure documentation and official Microsoft sources often provide detailed guidance on container configuration, security, and deployment without explicitly mentioning EOL/EOS dates for specific versions. Azure Document Intelligence applies machine learning to extract text, key-value pairs, tables, and structures from documents. It supports various document types and allows for both cloud and edge deployment. For configuring Document Intelligence containers, details such as the key, billing, and EULA settings are crucial for starting the containers and ensuring they operate correctly within the Azure ecosystem : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/document-intelligence/containers/configuration?view=doc-intel-4.0.0 https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/ai-services/ai-document-intelligence https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/document-intelligence/overview?view=doc-intel-4.0.0
