    There will be no problem to have DCs with Standard and Datacenter windows versions in a domain. There are DCs with Standard and Datacenter windows versions in my test environment and there is no any issue.

    Yes you are right there is no problem. But the standard version is enough to install a domain controller. The datacenter licence is more expensive.
    The Datacenter version is required in case of Highly virtualized datacenters and cloud environments
