Hi, I started using the 750 hours burstable VMs which are free for students under education pack. However, I still got charged $8 per month for several months for SSD and IP.

<p>

Q : Can you suggest me storage (SSD/HDD) and IP configurations so that I can create a vm which runs for free. My workloads don't require any such things.

    The free offer includes 2 64 GB (P6) solid state drives SSD storage free for a year. If you are being charged for the disk, then you need to make sure that you are using the right type. Based on your comment above, you are not.

    IP addresses are not free, so if you do not need one then you can configure your VM without a public IP. If you do need one, then there is a cost.
