How can I reopen my Azure account?

I recently signed up for, and got accepted to, the GitHub Student Developer Program, so I got some free Azure services. However, I can't claim these, because my account is disabled. I'd like to reopen my Azure account. I have already contacted Azure support (Support request ID 2402180060000272). They asked for my GitHub profile, ID, blah blah blah, which I provided. Then, the result I got was:

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Azure support. Sorry we were unable to verify your account information. Based on this, the earlier decision remains, and your account will stay closed.  Please understand that security checks like these are in place to protect the quality and integrity of the Azure service.

Then the ticket was closed. I attempted to reopen the ticket and sent a message, but got the same reply. Is there any other way to reopen my Azure account? I swear I won't use Azure in any way that might even be remotely considered as infringing the Terms of Use. If any information is required I'd be happy to provide it. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Can you check if the University or Institute can help you in recreating your account? If your account is closed for some specific reason I doubt it will be allowed to open again, you can raise support case with all the details and supporting evidence of what you intend to do with the account and follow the terms and condition of the Azure usage policy.

Thank you very much for your reply! I did raise a support case, which resulted in the unhelpful message as I quoted in my original post. I suppose I’ll have to ask for a new account then, which won’t be easy since we use Microsoft accounts for much more than just Azure stuff (Teams, SharePoint, etc). But well, so be it. @David.Wang +1 to Jimmy's response. I checked the support request details that you shared in your post. Also, checked with an SME to understand the possibilities of getting your subscription re-enabled. As mentioned by Jimmy, please raise a support request to the subscription management team with all the details and they will connect with HIT team to perform background check and see if subscription can be re-enabled.

@David.Wang Apologies for delayed response. Please create a support request to Azure subscription management team with the following details:

Type of subscription

Subscription ID, Email ID and Phone number

Mention the purpose of the subscription (For what are you using this subscription)

When was the subscription cancelled (Date)

Other details if any from the previous support request.
