Microsoft Authenticator app isn’t providing authentication code

Question

Good evening, I have been having issues trying to receive my log in code from the authentication app. I have went through all the troubleshooting procedures on the Microsoft website, when I tried removing my account and re adding it I received an error message saying something went wrong that occurs every time I try. It allows me to log in but it only gets me to the same point where it will not display a code
