AppSource Requirements Approval

Microsoft Support,

We are looking to create a Add In for accessing our product directly from the office task pane. A quick overview of our product is as follows:

Our product currently resides on the local machine of the user. It runs in docker container with all our core technology and exposes local API's that provide access to the functionality after installed and authenticated.

We would like to build an Add In to create a in office experience with the locally exposed API's. We want this Add In to be accessible to anyone who has purchased our product, so to be available on the Microsoft AppSource.

Since there is a dependency of having our product installed on the local machine for the Add In to be of use, what are the measures we should take to ensure our Add In will get approved to distribute through Microsoft AppSource? Or what would be the ideal way to distribute it?
