According to @Marian Javorka - MSFT which said (Jun 08 ) that:

I know that we didn't release new update for a while (insiders build was updated recently), but we were working on bringing in SNAP package and wanted to release new version together. We are solving one last issue with SNAP package and then we will proceed.

And just to give you a preview of what's cooking now, we are working on enabling Background Blur, Screen Sharing indicator (aka the red border), Screen Sharing cursor, but we also work on updating to newer Electron and enabling accessibility features, like Orca screen reader. Just to name some.

This feature is still unavailable now.

There is no development information about Teams for Linux in Microsoft 365 roadmap. So, we cannot give you any progress about SNAP package.

It seems @Marian Javorka - MSFT knows more about Teams for Linux. Hope he will give us more information.

Hi @Dawid K thank you for reaching out. Yes, I know I said that it will be soon and it was long time ago, but the issue I mentioned earlier was something which took us much longer than expected. We had great help from Canonical team directly and I can confirm the issue is now resolved. We are currently doing final round of testing and with next update, we are going to bring first version of SNAP package.

@Marian Javorka - MSFT When can we expect the next update ?
This is the 11th month of this year and we have received only 3 updates ? Does it sound normal ?
So on average 3+months gap between 2 updates, and considering the fact that we got the last update in October, if I am not wrong , the next update will come next year

This update progress is indeed longer. Microsoft team keeps developing the feature of Teams for Linux and test internally. Once the feature is stable, it will roll out as soon as possible.

If be honest I don't understand one thing. There was different features which worked fine (for me and other people with who I talked about it) but you removed it. For example this red border when I share screen or 3x3 grid view. Why you removed these features?

So you will release one more snap for stable version ?
Don't you think insider and stable both should be in one repo with just a drop down to choose from ?

Also what is the changelog for this update ? and most importantly, what all features were removed ?, Yeah I have to ask that because Teams for linux gets the update and features gets removed, just like 3x3 video grid was removed and red border while screen sharing was removed and they never came back.
