excel file issue after migration

I Have migrated 2010 production site to 2016 lab using DB Migraiton Method
so now 2016 lab has been given for testing.

Please help on how to solve below requirement from end user. Below is the query from end user who is testing 2016 lab site now.

FYI: post 2016 lab testing is done we will do migration to 2016 production.

How do these files connect with the list? By Get date in excel?

If this is the case, when you need to reconnect to SharePoint 2016, you need to re-enter the new list url.

Please see below response from end user.

but not in 2016
user has created a reports using Create Excel Pivot Table and query list with excel
he wants that same report in 2016 as well. Please help.

Hi @sns

Through my test, this option is no longer available since SharePoint 2013.

This function is actually similar to treating the entire list as an excel sheet, opening the local excel, and creating a pivot table for this list.

Since this option no longer exists (because it is actually similar to the function of exporting to excel), I recommend that you export this list to excel, and then create a pivot chart in excel, etc.

If the user still wants to connect the excel file to the list, you can use the Excel Web Access web part.
