    Hi @Julie Casciato

To delete your work account from Microsoft Teams, you need to remove the account from your device and sign out of Teams in your web browser. Here are the steps:

    • To remove the account from your device, go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school. Choose the account that you want to remove and select Disconnect.
    • To sign out of Teams in your web browser, click on your profile picture at the top right and choose Sign out.

Note: Removing an account can affect other apps and services that use the same account. You may need to sign in again with a different account to access them.

I know I'm digging up a year old post - but I did have hopes that Ran Hou's solution would work when all others had failed.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. As can be seen, I have three toxic accounts sitting there, unable to get rid of them. The button to deactivate them is greyed out and no other option to remove them.

Microsoft REALLY needs to get on the case with this one - this is a many-year old bug that too many people suffer from.

There doesn't seem to exist a viable solution as of 2025-01-22 to get rid of old inaccessible accounts.

    And it's a fail.
