Failure to update Microsoft Teams for Mac

Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7
MacBook Pro
Teams version: 1.3.00.28778 - Last updated June 2020

I am trying to update my Teams Desktop app but its not working. I check the version, I click on "look for updates" but nothing is happening. I tried reinstalling but after reinstalling it is still the same version.
I tried to start the update while connected to my phone as network source(in case my network was the problem), still no progression.

Does anyone have a tip on what to do?

I am a little confused about what´s the latest version, but I solved my original problem regarding the "include systemsound" function. The solution: Use a Windows computer.
I will have to keep searching for a permanent solution for my MacBook.

The latest version of Teams for mac is 1.3.00.28778. I tested in my lab. The version is the same as yours.

it says there is already a Teams 1.3.00.4461 version tho...

Two nearly identical MacBook Pro
Big Sur 11.1

I could update the Teams client on one MacBook to version 1.3.00.33671 today. The other MacBook is "stuck" at version 1.3.00.28778.

I tried on the Mac with version 28778 without success:

• Manual update via the menu ("You've got the latest updates. Enjoy!", but still 28778).
• Deinstalling Teams plus deleting the cache and then a fresh install from the Microsoft Teams download page. The Teams client still shows "You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.28778 via the menu.

Any idea what the issue may be?
