Getting Plug in error while inserting data (Dataset from Cloud Salesforce ) to SQL database (Onprimissive). Unfortunately it leads the error. ErrorCode=UserErrorInvalidPluginType,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.PluginNotRegisteredException,Message=Invalid type 'SalesforceV2' is provided in 'linkedServices'. Please correct the type in payload and retry.,Source=Microsoft.DataTransfer.ClientLibrary,' Please provide any solution for this. Thanks

Chandran, Vinitha Could you please attach the Salesforce Connection linked Service type use over here? Is this the Salesforce connection used? is there any error when you test the connectivity from the linked Service?

I am getting the same error when using the above pictured linked service. Using synapse data pipeline. No error with data connectivity through the linked service.

You can use UX feature flag '&feature.enableSalesforceV2=false' to temporarily switch back to legacy salesforce connector to unblock your business needs. In order to use the feature flag, just add above in your data factory URL. For example: https://ms-adf.azure.com/en/home?factory=%2Fsubscriptions%2xxx%2FresourceGroups%2Fxxx%2Fproviders%2FMicrosoft.DataFactory%2Ffactories%2Fxxx**&feature.enableSalesforceV2=false

There is no linked service available other than the version 2 one that is sitting out there. When I look for the legacy connection nothing comes up.

@Lyles, Blake You are editing the existing Linked Service, right?

My instructions were to create a new Linked Service from the portal, same for ADF and Synapse. add this **&feature.enableSalesforceV2=false **at the end of your browser url , then reload the page and then you will be able to create the Legacy Salesforce Connector which uses Username and Password. If the new created linked service is with type 'Salesforce' rather than 'SalesforceV2', then it works. Please attach the code view of your Salesforce Connector? something like this...!

We are getting the same error when pulling from Salesforce into Snowflake. Is there any other solution other than reverting back to the old connector? Or is there an ETA on the fix?

I am getting the same error using Copy Data activity in data factory. I am using the new Salesforce dataset and connecting to a salesforce object. The linked service test connection is successful and preview data works as well. The sink is an Azure SQL server instance.

I am slightly confused because the dataset is showing the message "The current legacy dataset is to be deprecated. Kindly upgrade this by creating a new Salesforce dataset." but it is not a legacy Salesforce dataset. I created it two days ago and it has the new functionality the old one didn't, such as connecting directly to an object.

Thank you very much for your support. But I am working around permanent solution for this. Temporary solution will not be effectful once the Legacy Salesforce Connector depreciated.

Please provide if got any support from Microsoft technical team.

Hello @Trent Burroughs , need to upgrade the self hosted integration runtime.

version 5.37.8762.1 has provided compatibility and should solve the issue.
