How to export a Whiteboard initiated by a Teams Rooms device as a standalone device

If I walk up to a Microsoft Teams Rooms device and start a whiteboard -- without being in a teams call -- how do I export that or send it to someone? In all the documentation it just says "its saved in Azure" but I can't give access to that to all my users, let alone trust them with PowerShell Get-Whiteboard.

So how do they export or save the whiteboard onto Sharepoint (for example), or email it from there to themselves? If its part of a teams call, then I can access it at whiteboard.microsoft.com but this whiteboard is owned by the meeting room so it's obviously not in there. On a personal one there are options for Export or Share (shown here with purple cross) but neither of these is visible on a whiteboard created on the MTR device. Please can you help - other than saying "it will be move to Sharepoint for Business in the future" which is of no use right now, nor do we know when that will be. User's image

    Hi @Luke Williams

According to the documentation, whiteboards launched from Surface Hub or Microsoft Teams Rooms are not available for sharing, and shared device accounts can only launch and view whiteboards during meetings.

To get this feature(export a Whiteboard initiated by a Teams Rooms device) more quickly, you can send a feedback directly to Microsoft Feedback to add it in future updates.

Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.

Thanks for your understanding and support.

A better answer would have been - this functionality isn't available (as per my research and in your reply) but a good work-around is to initiate a meeting from the Teams Rooms device, and then invite yourself to that call. This then places a copy of the Whiteboard into your own account (access via app or whiteboard.microsoft.com) which you can view and export as usual.
