Hey everyone, Has anyone else been experiencing this issue with Hyper V on Windows 10, 11, Server 2022? When restarting a VM via the console session, around 20-30% of the time when the VM itself reinitialises, the console session is black. It is rescaling to the correct size, and in the preview in Hyper-V manager it displays exactly what should be on the screen, but it is black. The way to correct the issue is to close the console window and reconnect to the VM. This has been an issue across Hyper V on my primary Desktop, my second PC I have used as a VM host, and my laptop. I've tested it on Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, and Windows 10 respectively. All have the same issues, all have updated drivers & windows. This has been an issue for at least a year now and it's just really bugging me! It does not matter what OS the guest is, windows, linux etc all have the same issue. I couldn't add a video to this post but I've put it on YouTube unlisted: For Microsoft Q&A Page - @brynkennedy8779 - https://youtu.be/nqDtmXQtVjY Any help would be appreciated :)

    Hi Bryn,

Thanks for your reply. I would recommend look in the next directions

    1. Ensure that GPU drivers are fully updated
    2. If you are using a Gen2 virtual machine, try to add the storage to a Gen1 test VM to see if does make any difference
    3. Update Integration services as explained in: Manage Hyper-V Integration Services | Microsoft Learn

    Best Regards,
