Hi,  I'm evaluating to migrate an on premise MS SQL 2012 Cluster to Azure SQL Hyperscale (mainly for storage size limit) and I'm a bit confused on how estimate it in terms of scaling and number of replicas Giving 6 x 32 vCore and 320GB master and slave nodes for 3 large databases, I'm estimating 3 large Hyperscale databases (with e.g vCore 24) with 1 replica for each database How can I estimate costs in order to achieve scalability and high availability for the estimation? Is scaling included regardless costs and provisoned vCore? Thanks in advance Best regards

@user8702 You can start by assessing the server using Azure DMS (in Azure Data Studio migration extension) and see what your potential Azure SQL targets are. It will allow you to do some workload data collection, analysis and optimization based on that as well. As I said, eventually some professional needs to understand the hardware, availability/DR (including long term archival of backups), read-scale, and other requirements to factor in the parameters which may impact the cost.
