SQL Server Installs Successfully Without Including The Database Engine

All documentation about this issue points to actual error messages people get which is irrelevant when you don't get an error message so I have exhausted my pool of resources. I am just trying to understand how this is possible so I can know how to fix it a problem that seems impossible is remarkably difficult to diagnose the root case of! My logic is if it is broken installer a different installer should fix the issue and it if it is a compatibility issue to any capacity it should be experienced by someone else as that incompatibility wouldn't be exclusive to my system and if it were a botched configuration the service missing wouldn't be a core service. If my logic is incorrect anywhere that would be a great start to learn about.

Sorry, but when you say "this issue", what issue? Can you tell us what the OS is, and what's already on the machine, then the steps that you take, which options you choose, which version you're installing, using what installer, and then what you then see later?

I echo what Greg said. If you only want to express your frustration, you can stay where you are, but if you want help, you need to explain what you did, what messages you get etc.

My gut reaction is that you accidentdly unselected Database Engine when you installed, in which case you should be able to rerun installation to add features to an existing installation.

If nothing else, you could share the file Summary.txt. In C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\nnn\Setup Bootstrap\Log there is one folder per installation attempt. nnn here depends on which version of SQL Server you attempted to install. For SQL 2022, nnn = 160.
