My current pc has an i5-4670 and DDR3 16GB of ram and a GTX 1050 2G and 500ssd
it runs so doodoocheeks on games like on roblox it runs 70-140 fps with fps unlocker and valorant 80-120 with very unsmooth feeling fps all on low and sometimes lowering resolutions doesnt help and sometimes it my tabs would take alittle longer to load up OVERCLOCKED too

BUT

my old pc which broke had a similar speed to an i5-4670 and DDR3 12GB of ran and a GT 640 and 220GB ssd and 500GB hdd
it some how ran roblox 200-300 fps smoothly with fps unlocker and ran valorant 80-110 fps on 4:3 resolution some what smooth and playable

i just dont get what is happening or what to do or how to fix it

i tried wiping the pc and reinstalling windows 10, tried overlocking in bios and battery options, tried lowering the res, tried using task manager. i dont know what to do anymore

Hello It’s indeed puzzling that your new PC with seemingly better specifications is performing worse than your old one. Here are a few possibilities and potential solutions:   Driver Issues: Ensure that all your drivers, especially your graphics driver, are up to date. Outdated or incorrect drivers can cause performance issues.   Background Processes: Check for any unnecessary background processes that might be using up your system resources. You can do this via the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc).   Power Settings: Make sure your power plan is set to ‘High Performance’. This can be found in the Control Panel under ‘Power Options’.   Thermal Throttling: Overheating can cause your PC to throttle its performance to cool down. Make sure your PC is well ventilated and the CPU/GPU aren’t overheating.   Hardware Compatibility: Ensure that your hardware components are compatible with each other. For example, some motherboards may not fully support certain CPUs or GPUs, which can lead to performance issues.   Game Settings: Try adjusting the in-game settings. Sometimes, games may have settings that can cause performance issues on certain hardware configurations.   Clean Installation: If you’ve upgraded parts in your PC, a clean installation of Windows might help. This ensures that there are no leftover drivers or software causing conflicts.   Hardware Issues: There could be an issue with one of your hardware components. Try testing your GPU/CPU/RAM with a benchmarking tool to see if they’re performing as expected.   Windows Settings: There are several Windows settings you can adjust for better gaming performance.   If none of these solutions work, it might be worth taking your PC to a professional for a check-up.
