Migrate Entra connect server to another server

Hello technet community We have 2 Entra connect server on Windows 2016. We are looking to migrate them to Windows 2019. Can we have 2 Entra Connect server with staging mode ? or we can have only one staging server ?

    Yes you can.

    To migrate you entra server to new server Windows 2019 without impacting synchronisation you can follow these steps:

    1. Export entra connect server configuration from old server
    2. Install new server Windows 2019 and install new Entra connect server with staging mode by importing configuration from old server
    3. Enable staging mode on old server
    4. Disable staging mode on new server Windows 2019 Before decom old server , you should be sure that the synchronisation is not impacted after the switch to new server.
