SharePoint Server 2019 navigation bug

Question

I have noticed that there is a bug in the SharePoint Server 2019 July Update (KB4484453). When using the modern Communication site and navigating from one page to another using the top navigation, the "is-selected" class is always applied to the link of the previously navigated page instead of the current one. Can we expect a fix for this soon?

It's not a bug. This seems to be the browser related issue.

I just did a test in Chrome and IE. This issue doesn't exist in Chrome, the "is-selected" class would be applied to current page. Only IE browser has the issue.

And I just installed the lastest update KB 4486714 today, this issue doesn't exist in this update. However, there are some issues on creating page and editing page, I didn't recommend you install on your production environment.

Thanks for answering, but we can't just install random updates without knowing if it fixes our problem. The September update brought more bugs than fixes for example, so we had to roll back. I will try on a development machine, but I didn't see anything about this issue in the release notes.

Try installing the latest PU and see if that fixes your issue, since that was a July Update they should have fixed by now.
