Hi All.
I have installed Visual Studio on 2 PCs. On one Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise 2019 version 16.4.1 and on another Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Community version 16.4.1. Previously, when I updated Visual Studio on my PC, I was left with the old version and installed the new one. How can I upgrade both computers to a newer version, overriding the previous one?
Thanks.

Hi KhurramRahim. Thanks for reply.
Install on different partition that is not the same what I'm asking. My question is how to override previous version by install latest version?
Thanks.
I cannot reproduce your problem...
For example, I had VS 2019 16.5.3
I just selected the menu [Help] [Check for Updates] and Visual Studio Installer upgraded my version to the latest version 16.8.0
The version of the VS executable, that I have at :
"E:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"
is now 16.8.30709.132
Hi @zleug ,
Do you mean that you want to update your Visual Studio 2019 to the latest version? Please refer to the document: Update Visual Studio to the most recent release.
In general, if your current version is 16.4.1, the update will replace your current installed version.
Sincerely,
Anna
Hi @Anna Xiu-MSFT . Thanks for reply.
I would like to know. How do I update Visual Studio 2019 version 16.4.1 to the latest version and override the previous version? I know how to update Visual Studio, but I don't want to have two versions of Visual Studio on my computer. Previously, when I updated Visual Studio after the update, I had two versions left on my PC: previous and latest. I do not want to repeat this situation again.
Thanks.
