How on earth do I fix this? It keeps reoccurring on different but similarly structured workbooks. They are too large and complex to keep copying the data to new workbooks every time. What am I doing that is making this keep happening?

    Hi @Lauren Crowe

You may try to click File > Info > Inspect Workbook > Check Compatibility, uncheck the box of "Check compatibility when saving this workbook", and then Save As a new workbook.

Please note, macro-enabled workbooks, protected workbooks, and those with external data connections often disable autosave to ensure the integrity of the workbook and maintain security measures.
