RDS 2019: Where do I point my thin client to? The Remote Desktop Broker server or the Session Host server?

Hello All,

I recently built a Remote Desktops Services farm on Server 2019 but am a little confused about how to point my thin clients to it the session host servers.
So, do I create a DNS record for each session host server (two in this case) that points to the same name and use that for my thin clients? I was of the understanding that remote desktop connections start out going through the connection broker (which is a separate server in my case) since it points to the lic server and also since the broker load balances the session connections? In short I am at a lost as to how to connect the final pieces. Below is how the 3 servers in my farm are configured.

Thanks!

Server1 Roles: Remote Desktop Connection Broker, Remote Desktop Lic, Remote Desktop Web Access

Server2 Roles: Remote Desktop Session Host

Server3 Roles: Remote Desktop Session Host

    Hi,

Yes, can create two DNS records that point the IP addresses of the Server2 and Server3 (remote session host servers) to the same RDS farm name.

And then on your thin client, you should input the rds farm name for remote connection.

You can refer to below article for RDS farm configuration.

    Thanks,
