Undeliverable email for new user

Hello. I created a new user in Office365. To be more clear, I actually created a new user in OKTA which is integrated with Office365 so the user was created automatically. When sending that new user an email, I get an undeliverable response and I'm not sure why. Also, I can't add an email alias to the user's address even though I assigned it a license. Is there a way to fix that?

Having a user object does not necessarily mean you get a matching mailbox created, which in turn can cause the error message above. Double-check whether the user has a mailbox provisioned in Exchange Online, and also what the email address is.

Does the user have a proper license assigned? One that include exchange online license
