Hi,

We've have update our backup strategy to a 3-2-1 scenario. My company bought a new backup server (HP Apollo 4200 with 120 TB of storage).
The old server was retired from our datacenter and move to our main site and our objective is to use it as a backup copy server.
This server is a Dell R510 with two dell MD 1200 enclosure.
We have 4 RAID 6 array based on SATA or NLSAS drive (2 TB, 3TB, 4TB and 6 TB) We cannot build a alrge array with all these drive.
The total amount of storage is around 86 TB.
We would like to use one Windows 2019 drive as a REFS veeam Repository.
I don't want to use a classic Windows spanned drive so i decided to have a look to Storage Spaces because I want only one drive for my veeam repos!
I've built a large storage pool based on my 4 RAID 6 arrays with a 86 TB size without any parity withut any problem.
I've tried to setup a thick virtual drive but i was limited to 32 TB.
If i tried to create a thin dynamic virtual drive, it accepts a 86 TB size but i'm not sure it will works.

I've done several searches on Storage spaces limits but iI haven't found that kind of information.

Do you know where I can find this type of information ?

Best Regards

    Hi @Eric PERSAN ,

Edit: The limitation will be the maximum size of a VHDX file, which is 64TB.
