Azure Virtual Machine Screen resolution change to 2048 X 1152

Hi, We want to run some automation test with screen resolution 2048 X 1152 on azure VM. But it is not allowing us to change resolution and not able to find any solution on internet. How to set this resolution on VM ? We are running automation test from azure devOps pipeline.

Are you setting the screen resolution in RDP? Can you explain more of what you have tried and what results you are seeing?

Thanks for your replay. Our scenario: We are running automation test case on windows 11 Azure VM desktop using Azure devops pipeline. But some tests, we want to run on high resolution and that are failing so we want to change resolution to 2048 X 1152.
Current Display resolution result we can see as below, checked with command line. 1024 x 768 x 4294967296 colors 1306 x 693 x 4294967296 colors, Using RDP we are not able to change display resolution using Display settings on VM So how we can change it via any other way ?

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Q&A.

I am assuming that you are accessing Azure Win 11 VM via Remote Desktop Connection.

Remote Desktop Connection follows the resolution of the host machine or the base machine of which RDP was initiated.

Update the resolution of the base machine and then take up the RDP, you should have the resolution you need.

It may also help to change the scale setting to get the resolution on RDP

No, i did set 500 value but it is not making any changes in resolution. I am checking resolution using command as it is not allowing to see resolution as well.

wmic path Win32_VideoController get VideoModeDescription

1024 x 768 x 4294967296 colors

Any other solution ?

Having the same issue. I could be mistaken but Azure DevOps does not communicate to the virtual machine using RDP. The normal flow for automation tests would be that the tests and app are deployed to the VM then kicked off via the Azure DevOps Agent.

Yes. but Azure not allowing us to change VM screen resolution and we are looking for that solution only. Can you please help on how to change VM screen resolution ?? Custom scaling not helping here.
