I am responsible for the operation and maintenance of a system that uses Edge's IE mode.

Within the system, there is a process to download and open Windows Script File files for execution. Previously, in the file download dialog, there were buttons for 'Open' 'Save' and 'Cancel' However, after changing the system's connection method to SSL communication (from http to https), the 'Open' button no longer appears, and only 'Save' and 'Cancel' buttons are displayed.

We have received complaints from users that it is troublesome to have to save the Windows Script File file every time before executing it. We would like to know how to display the 'Open' button in the dialog. If there are any related group policy settings, we would appreciate it if you could let us know those as well. Our system use Japanese, this is dialog's display.

    Hi @na na

Could you please check if this policy Do not save encrypted pages to disk is enabled for users? If this policy is enabled, the "Open" button will disappear. The corresponding setting for this policy can be found in Internet Options > tab "Advanced" > option "Do not save encrypted pages to disk".

You need to remove this policy or change the policy from "Enabled" to "Disabled" then test again.
