I have set up a SCOM 2022 to monitor an event log on one of my servers for a specific event. However, when I generate the event, nothing happens, and there are no errors or alerts in SCOM. How can I troubleshoot this issue and make it work correctly?

Hi,

It's unfortunate that your SCOM 2022 event rule is not working properly.

Here are some steps you can follow to fix this problem:

Restart the Event Log Service: Try restarting the event log service and triggering the alert from the local computer with the same computer name. This has solved similar issues before.

Check for Maintenance Mode: Make sure that the server you are monitoring is not in maintenance mode. If it is, alerts will not be generated.

Check the Agent: Make sure that the SCOM agent is installed properly on the server you are monitoring. You might want to try reinstalling the agent if other troubleshooting steps don't work.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions!
