Azure VPN sign on error 798

When I sign on to the vpn i get error 798 certificate could not be found. Please HELP - there is no help button!!!! I have searched for a solution but there is mention of a few certificates and method to renew, but looking for the thread none seem to apply to my options. I cannot find an expired certificate to renew. I am not technical so please keep answer simple. Thanks

    I understand you are getting Error 798. Can you please try the troubleshooting steps mentioned here and see if that resolve the issue.

    • Symptom: When you try to connect to an Azure virtual network by using the VPN client, you receive the following error message:

    A certificate could not be found that can be used with this Extensible Authentication Protocol. (Error 798)

    • Cause

    This problem occurs if the client certificate is missing from Certificates - Current User\Personal\Certificates.

    • Solution

    To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

    Open Certificate Manager: Click Start, type manage computer certificates, and then click manage computer certificates in the search result.

    Make sure that the following certificates are in the correct location:

    Go to C:\Users<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Cm<GUID>, manually install the certificate (*.cer file) on the user and computer's store.
