How to fix storyboard moving tile within column

In working in visual studios storyboard- I am unable to move a tile within a column- but I can move it across different columns. If I wanted to move a tile up in the column- it is not allowing me. It appears to move when I drag it but then goes back to original position within the column

You can check the following possible factors .

Check Storyboard Keyframes:

Make sure you've defined the correct keyframes in your storyboard. The keyframes should specify the positions of the tile at different points in time. If you want the tile to move up within a column, you should have keyframes that represent the changing Y positions within the column. Example XAML snippet:

<Storyboard x:Name="MoveUpStoryboard"> <DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.RenderTransform).(CompositeTransform.TranslateY)" Storyboard.TargetName="YourTile"> <EasingDoubleKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="0"/> <EasingDoubleKeyFrame KeyTime="0:0:1" Value="-100"/> </DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard>

Ensure Correct TargetName: Verify that the Storyboard.TargetName property is set to the correct name of your tile. This should match the x:Name attribute of your tile.

Check for RenderTransform: Ensure that your tile has a RenderTransform applied. You may use a TranslateTransform for moving the tile.

Example XAML for a tile with a TranslateTransform:

Ensure No Conflicts: Check if there are other storyboards or animations affecting the same tile. Conflicting animations may result in unexpected behavior. For example, if you want the tile to move when a certain event occurs, ensure that you call MoveUpStoryboard.Begin(); at that point.
