Hi, Microsoft Team, I'm having trouble placing my app service behind azure frontdoor classic. My Backend config (App service) is this User's image

but i get this error message User's image

if i add my domain to allowed domain in my app service User's image

traffic is redirected to the app service without going through the frontdoor. User's image

that IP belongs to my App service and not to my frontdoor IP how it should be. How can I put an app service behind frontdoor classic? It's possible ? Regards, RGIL

    @Rafael Gil Sanchez ,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

    I understand that you would like to configure AFD Classic with an App Service backend using a custom domain. This is doable, I just did a lab and I was able to achieve this.

    • User's image
    • User's image

    Now, in your scenario,

    • The domain "www.elinter.app" is not having a CNAME record to your AFD EndPoint.
    • This is a misconfiguration, as CNAME entry is mandatory for requests to be routed via the AFD and not directly to the App Service.
    • Follow these steps : Add a custom domain to Azure Front Door
    • And when you want HTTPS traffic to go via AFD's custom domain, you have to take care of certificates as well

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Kapil
