How to prevent Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service from defaulting to Automatic (Delayed Start) and ensure it actually starts on startup?

Running Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 22631.3155. I have moved house, and connected to new WiFi connection on a different router. My old setup was ethernet connection, on different router. Ever since, the title service keeps defaulting to Automatic (Delayed Start) in services.msc. I switch to Automatic, restart Windows, and it changes back to Delayed Start. This means I have to go into legacy Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center>Media Streaming Options and select "Turn on media streaming" every time after a restart. I use a static local network IP address, and run a media server off the same PC for other devices on the network to access. I have changed nothing in my settings since moving house. I had a quick look in Computer Management logs for any errors regarding the service but couldn't find anything. I would just like the service to start automatically on startup (Like it used to).

    Hello,

Try to configure the startup type via registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WMPNetworkSvc

Double click registry entry ‘DelayedAutostart’ and change it to 0. Save the change and re-start the system to make the change take effect.
