MARS Agent is backing up System State backup very slowly

We are encountering an issue with the MARS agent running on an on-premise server. We have two backup jobs, one for the C/D drive and the other for the System State. The backup for the C/D drive is running all okay but the System State is taking way to long to backup. So you have a rough idea, I started running the backup at 10:41 today, its status is "Copying System State files" and is on 65%. The system state backup would run with the C/D drive backup every night and was always done in the morning. I have also ensured the following: MARS is up to date. MARS Agent has network connectivity as the C/D drive backup runs all okay. The Microsoft Azure Recovery Services service is running. There is more than 10% free space in the scratch folder. There is an antivirus on the server but I have set it to exclude the Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent folder and the Scratch folder. The system clock is correct. Any assistance or any pointers would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused you. From the details shared in the original post, I understand that your system state backups are taking longer time than expected. It seems you have already tried few steps to troubleshoot the issue with no luck. Suggest you follow the steps from the troubleshooting guide here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-troubleshoot-slow-backup-performance-issue and see if that helps resolve the issue. 2024-03-04T17:00:26.7066667+00:00 Hi there, this documentation I have already gone through and checked. Unfortunately none of the recommendations helped. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the MARS agent on the server on a different drive as a test.
