Does "Move to OneDrive" option work when moving from a network drive?

Does Move to OneDrive option work when moving from a network drive? And if so, what are the settings to make it show up? I am only seeing Move to OneDrive when I right click on a file on my local pc. I would like to be able to use this when moving from a network drive with user's personal network file shares, but that option is not available.
Also is it possible to have the Move to OneDrive option show up at the folder level.
