Power apps Canvas app does not connect to the Contoso excel file for Module 1 exercise of PL-900 learning path.

Question

I am trying to follow the exercise on Module 1, where I download the Contoso zip file and extract it into my OneDrive. The issue is when I create my data connection, select the excel file, select the table, and click 'connect' the screen shows the "Loading" message perpetually and the data never loads. Please assist how to fix this.
