    @Sakib Ali Choudhary
    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your question here.

    When you create a Synapse workspace, it is created within a resource group in Azure. By default, the person who creates the workspace is assigned the Synapse Administrator role, which provides full control over the workspace. However, other team members who have access to the resource group may not have the appropriate roles assigned to them to access and contribute to the Synapse workspace.

    To resolve this issue, you can check the role-based access control (RBAC) settings for the Synapse workspace and ensure that your colleagues have the appropriate roles assigned to them. Here are the steps to check and assign RBAC roles:

    • Open the Synapse workspace in the Azure portal.
    • On the left side, select "Access control (IAM)".
    • Check if your colleagues have been assigned the appropriate roles. If not, select "Add" > "Add role assignment" to assign the required roles.
    • The Synapse Administrator role provides full control over the workspace, while other roles such as Synapse Contributor or Synapse SQL Administrator provide more specific permissions.
    • Once the roles have been assigned, your colleagues should be able to access and contribute to the Synapse workspace without any issues.

    If your colleagues are still experiencing issues accessing the Synapse workspace, there may be other factors at play. For example, they may not have the appropriate permissions to access the resource group that the workspace is located in. In this case, you can check the RBAC settings for the resource group and ensure that your colleagues have the appropriate roles assigned to them.

    Other factors such as a misconfiguration or a service outage with the Synapse workspace could also be causing the issue. To check for any known issues with Synapse, you can refer to the Azure status page.
