Did the issue occur with one machine or all the machines?
It seems the machine was shutdown during the update.
Please try to install the update manually then reboot, check the issue again. If it is available to install the updates locally, we may consider to check the SCCM configuration especially the time limit configuration.
If the issue occurred locally, please ensure there is no any shutdown process (automatica script). Open administrator command line and run "dism /online /get-packages". If there is any pending update, we may consider to remove it firstly.
