Changing the APPID of a VB.Net project

I'm working on ASP.NET Web API project, and I realized that the APPID being captured in the Teradata DBQL is a duplicate of another application.
This is how the APPID looks like.
W3WP:AA:CC:xx.xx.xx.000)
Can you please advise how to update the APPID?

W3WP. Is your project hosted on IIS? Maybe it's the application pool identity you want to modify? -

Yes the ASP.Net Web API and the ASP.NET Web application are both hosted in the IIS.
Does it mean that both of them will share the same ID like W3WP:AA:CC:xx.xx.xx.000?
