Alerting on backups events for the managed automated backup

Question

Hi we have a requirement to enable alerts on backup events (success/failed), for the automated backup solutions.

Is there any metrics available to enable such alerts?

I was following this similar question, and it seems like this was not there last year. Wanted to check if this feature is available now?

As you aware the backup is managed by the cloud service, success and failure are handled by them, and there are currently no metrics/alert available. However, if you would like to test the backup, you can perform a restore to ensure its functionality.
