What's the best way to detach domain EntityB.EntityA.local from its forest without creating a new domain? Company A wants to remove it from their forest, but Company B wants to keep the domain as is.

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
Because child domain cannot exist without root domain, it is not possible to detach a child domain from its parent. One of the things you can do is to create your domain and establish trusts between them and migrate resources from old EntityB.EntityA.local to the new domain.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to detach and separate a child domain from its root domain. You are forced to create a new forest and migrate the all objects of EntityB.EntityA.local.
