Invalid MLTable format, Transformation not supported: read_delta_lake

Hi all,

In the Azure Machine Learning Workspace, I'm currently trying to create a MLTable data asset based on a Delta table which resides in one of our storage accounts.

As mentioned in the documentation, I used the function from_delta_lake to create a MLTable YAML file which points to the table in question. So far, so good.

However, when subsequently trying to create a data asset based upon this table, I am greeted with the error in the title:
Invalid MLTable format, Transformation not supported: read_delta_lake (Parameter 'read_delta_lake')

This suggests to me that the ML studio uses an older version of MLTable, in which this transformation was not yet supported.

Any support on this issue would be appreciated - the data I want to process is all in Delta format, so using different file formats or the like is not an option.

Thank you for your time!

Kind regards,

Joris
