Hello,

been pouring through the documentation for the new Windows LAP's and i see that it can be used for workstations (windows 10, 11) but can it be used to change the local admin passwords on servers? For workstations everything is done in Intune (rotate passwords) but since servers are not in Intune how are they managed?

    Hello Michael Menzie,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

*but can it be used to change the local admin passwords on servers?

A: Yes, we can see the second point: Back up local administrator account passwords to Windows Server Active Directory (for Windows Server Active Directory-joined clients and servers)

Thank you for the reply but I am sorry but you only partially answered my question. You said it can be used for the local admin password on servers but you don't say how you manage them or rotate them. With workstations it's clearly documented that you use Intune to manage and rotate them. Servera are not managed by intune so how does the admin manage and rotate passwords on servers? That is not as clear in any documentation
