Error enabling SFTP on Blob storage - 'True' value not allowed for property isSftpEnabled

Hi there,

I've been having trouble enabling SFTP on my Blob storage account and received an error message saying "Failed to update SFTP settings for account 'accountname'. Error: The value 'True' is not allowed for property isSftpEnabled." I have Azure Blob Storage V2 and hierarchical namespace enabled, and it was working fine until last night. I'm unsure what went wrong or how to fix it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Stefan

Hi @Anonymous - Thanks for reaching out.

If the account meets the pre-requisite and as you mentioned that it was working fine previously, it is quite possible that the account might be going some kind of backend migration.

Typically this shouldn’t take much time and you should be able to proceed after waiting for some time.

if it still not working even after waiting for hours, you might need to raise a support ticket with storage support team for review.
