Following Account Upgrade, cannot use Batch. Advice on how to resolve AccountEncryptionKeyUnavailable?

I recently upgraded my subscription from Azure Students to Pay-As-You go.
However, I am unable to use my batch account to create pools or jobs.
An error (summarized below) is returned stating that the Account Encryption key is unavailable.
This occurs when:

  • Attempting to view the Pools or Jobs page within the portal
  • Attempting to Provision a pool from my console (RStudio, using doAzureParallel package).

Code: AccountEncryptionKeyUnavailable
message: Account data could not be decrypted as the account encryption key is currently unavailable
Request Id: 598f1053-afdb-403a-ae1c-d28de19abd22
Reason Code: AccountKeysNotFound

How do I resolve this error to use my account?
Any guidance or direction on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

This is a known bug in Batch, typically associated with a Visual Studios subscription being suspended due to credits running out.

We are aware of this issue and will deploy a fix in the future, but unfortunately for now you will need to delete and re-create the batch account in order to continue. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
