Hi,
lately I have not been receiving notifications of upcoming Health advisories/Planned maintenance. I used to get emails about information such as "retirement notice" "action required" etc. I am not sure what has changed, but I need this notification to prepare and plan for whats coming.

Kindly review the Health alerts configuration, by navigating to Service Health > Health alerts section (on Azure Portal).
Double check the email that is configured for receiving alerts.For now, you may review the active events from the dashboard, just for a quick glimpse.
As a side note, I see that you have posted the question on Azure Notification tag, we may have to re-tag appropriately.

2024-03-08T15:01:57.4433333+00:00 Hi, thanks for your answer but this is not what I am looking for. We didn't have Health alerts set up for this before and I don't want to now, given that we have hundreds of subscriptions. (as far as i know the Health Alert scope is only one subscription)
So there must be another way to fix this. -

I completely understand the concern, for a closer investigation on this you may file a support ticket to receive swift and focused assistance. You need to create an Azure support request.
I have tested this on multiple test subscription, and there is no known issues on receiving such alerts/recommendations from azure-noreply@microsoft.com
Just to isolate, it may worth a try, if you have multiple owners on the subscription, please review your account permissions on the subscription : https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/role-based-access-control/classic-administrators ( I understand it was working fine). If none of the email from Microsoft Azure azure-noreply@microsoft.com are received, review if it was perhaps inadvertently flagged by someone (emails are landing in junk/spam folder).
