    Hi @CranbinSunDK991

    Welcome to our forum!

For better research, please provide more details about this case:

What is your account type? Such as outlook.com or Microsoft 365 account.

Does the problem only happen in the Outlook desktop client?

Can you provide a screenshot of the pop-up window? Please note that your personal privacy information will be overwritten.

There are many possible causes for this issue, such as incorrect settings, corrupted profile, outdated software, or security policies. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

    • Make sure you have the latest version of Outlook and Windows. You can check for updates in the Settings app or the Office app.
    • Ensure that the Remember Password option is checked in your email account settings. You can access this by clicking File > Account Settings > Change > More Settings > Security in Outlook.
    • If you have enabled Modern Authentication for your Microsoft 365 account, you may need to enter a one-time password or approve a sign-in request from your phone or another device. You can also try to disable and re-enable Modern Authentication by following the instructions here.
    • If you have set up Conditional Access policies for your Microsoft 365 account, you may need to comply with certain requirements, such as using a trusted device, a specific location, or a secure network. You can check your Conditional Access policies in the Azure portal or contact your administrator for more information.
    • If none of the above steps work, you may need to create a new Outlook profile and add your email account again.

To begin, clearing the cached credentials in Outlook might resolve the repeated password prompts. Head to File > Account Settings > Account Settings. Pinpoint your email account there, then click "Repair." After that, remove the account and re-add it using your accurate credentials. Another potential fix involves your account's authentication setup. Make certain the multi-factor or dual authentication settings align properly with your device's configuration. An improper setup could prompt Outlook's persistent password requests. While we're at it, let's confirm Outlook's email server settings match correctly. Outdated server info can sometimes instigate authentication hiccups, thus the password loops. Cross-check these settings against the right server details for your email. On another note, renewing your account password serves as a safeguard if this issue carries on. When you update the password, simultaneously review the account security settings for any suspicious activity signs. But if you've tried all the above troubleshooting to no avail, then the next logical step is to loop in the IT support team or your email provider. They possess account-specific and server-specific knowledge to further diagnose and remediate the persistent password prompts.
