There are many possible causes for this issue, such as incorrect settings, corrupted profile, outdated software, or security policies. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:
- Make sure you have the latest version of Outlook and Windows. You can check for updates in the Settings app or the Office app.
- Ensure that the Remember Password option is checked in your email account settings. You can access this by clicking File > Account Settings > Change > More Settings > Security in Outlook.
- If you have enabled Modern Authentication for your Microsoft 365 account, you may need to enter a one-time password or approve a sign-in request from your phone or another device. You can also try to disable and re-enable Modern Authentication by following the instructions here.
- If you have set up Conditional Access policies for your Microsoft 365 account, you may need to comply with certain requirements, such as using a trusted device, a specific location, or a secure network. You can check your Conditional Access policies in the Azure portal or contact your administrator for more information.
- If none of the above steps work, you may need to create a new Outlook profile and add your email account again.
