Logging into Azure console requests a 6 digit verification code. My authenticator app only has 8 digits.

I am having the same problem too, and have had for months, I have been verifying instead by getting a code to my phone via text.
As you say, need a 6 digit number and authenticator provides 8.
Can anyone help?

Could you re-enroll your authenticator app?
No. I have to login using the authentication factor to do that. If I could, I wouldn't need to re-enroll. The MS Azure site wants 6 digits, my MS Authenticator has 8. Doesn't seem to be a way to get support or to reset. Wondering if this is confusion between home and work profiles.
Also wondering if my account is hijacked. I would prefer a real MS person on this issue.
My administrator is getting a message "this is not the home directory for ...." so he can't reset either. Makes no sense.
