What steps do i take to upgrade to Azure Update Management

Question

I am looking at migrating from Azure automation to Azure update management and i wondered if i need to run the script in this guide, or do i just need to follow the steps in the table? Also, we are looking at implementing this in a terraform script. Is this easy to do and would it need done prior to all of this work (not sure this is for this forum but I'll ask anyway)?

The script referenced in the MS Learn documentation is in preview - so you should consider supportability implications if you intend to target your production environment. "Easy" is a relative term - it depends on your experience with Terraform. I'd question though the reason for doing so - the primary benefit of Terraform is its support of multiple cloud platforms - is this applicable in your case? If not, you might want to simply leverage what's provided by Microsoft
