Migrating Azure DevOps Server to Azure DevOps Services Fails - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Question

I've gone through the all the instructions and the validation passes but failed during import.

We have a highly customized process and I made changes based on the Migrator.exe validation output to get the validation passed.

The output from the process is:

For the project = 'Framework' following errors were encountered. Step : ProcessValidation - Failure Type - Validation failed : Invalid process template: WorkItem Tracking\TypeDefinitions\DevelopmentCustomer.xml:: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Step : ProcessValidation - Failure Type - Validation failed : Invalid process template: WorkItem Tracking\TypeDefinitions\DevelopmentInternal.xml:: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I have no idea where to start.
