Is it possible to make proxy work with Windows/Microsoft Update? I keep receiving error code 0x80245006 after getting a response from slscr.update.microsoft.com. If it is possible, can you provide any solutions or workarounds? If not, is it due to security reasons?

    Hello,

The error code 0x80245006 indicates that there is a problem with the connection to the Windows Update server. This error can occur if the proxy server is not configured correctly or if there is a problem with the proxy server itself.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following solutions:

    1. Check the proxy settings: Make sure that the proxy settings are configured correctly in Internet Explorer. To do this, open Internet Explorer, click on the gear icon in the top right corner, and select Internet options. Then, click on the Connections tab and click on the LAN settings button. Make sure that the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" option is checked and that the correct proxy server address and port number are entered.
    2. Check the firewall settings: Make sure that the firewall settings are not blocking the connection to the Windows Update server.
    3. Check the proxy server logs: Check the logs on the proxy server to see if there are any errors or issues that may be causing the problem.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
