I have RestrictRun in place on a Win 10 machine using regedit, and want to run a batch file. So, I allowed cmd.exe in the allowed list of applications. But even after that, the batch file is not able to run. It is still giving "Operation is cancelled due to restriction in effect on this computer....". However, I am able to run that batch file through cmd.

Please let me know what else needs to be allowed in order to run this batch file.

    Hi Biren,

Thanks for the post. Please check if the value of the RestrictRun entry is 1 in the following registry. This value will confirm user can skip the RestrictRun restrictions.

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\

    RestrictRun (systemmanager.ru)
