Azure AD Connect Install fails on Win2022 Server

Hi All.

I'm newbie of Azure & Active Directory

Background:

  1. ex-IT guy migrated in-place Exchange mail server to cloud Microsoft 356, and an AD server for access permission manage of local file server @ Windows server 2012 R2 in VM(PC name: XXXXX, named OLD server here) and synchronize by Azure AD Connect V1.
  2. But he gone away @ 2022, no job handover to me, only 95% of Server IP/User/Password pass to me, no more detail.
  3. OLD server work fine, until Microsoft announced Azure AD Connect V1 departed @ 2023/10, automatic AD synchronize didn't work after, but manual synchronize (PS> Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta) work fine until 2024/2
    Before 2024/2, I had been try to install Azure AD Connect V2(a.k.a. Microsoft Entra connect sync) @ OLD server but fail due system too old.

Therefore I setup Windows server 2022 Standard in VM(PC name: XXXXX, named NEW server here), and execute AD synchronize my expect.
AD replication successful.

Next, I tried to setup Microsoft Entra connect sync @ NEW server failed.

  1. I afraid AD object damaged @ OLD server and Cloud, therefore Customize installation first because original AAD exist and exported synchronization setting @ OLD server
  2. Customize installation, I imported synchronization setting from OLD server, but got failed as follows Tried 3 days and googled, could not fix. (No log provide because the VM deleted)

Think about conflict with existence object possible, tried Express installation but got failed also as follows User's image I can not understand about Unable to install the Synchronization Service. The account name is invalid or does not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified No idea what user/password using for Synchronization Service.

Addition, in my case, back to customize installation is recommend?
If true, I will back to customize installation.

Or migrate to Microsoft Entra cloud sync? (But googled, this procedure can not work in my case (Need Azure AD Connect V2 first?)

    It seems a problem on your service account used to connect on Database.
